It is also called “the gold of the Incas” after many evidences that the incas enjoyed the benefits of this fruit from long time ago. Originally from Peru, lucuma grows in warm temperatures, surrounded by beautiful and mystical landscapes. With a fibrous pulp of a bright yellowish orange, lucuma, besides being delicious, is a very nutritious fruit.

Rich in vitamin C, B complex, calcium, phosphorus, proteins and low in caloric values; it can be used in various dishes under different forms: in snacks, cooked or raw. Despite of having a sweet taste, lúcuma is low in sugars, being a perfect choice for low-sugar diets. It also stimulates the good functioning of the nervous system, fighting stress and depression.
